02. Reflections

Food for Thought (pun intended)

  • Leverage Existing Research: Kroger already had a wealth of user research data available. By reviewing and synthesizing this existing data, I could quickly grasp the current state of the mobile experience and user perceptions, saving time and effort in conducting additional research.

  • Collaborate Early and Often: Working closely with the Product Design Leads and Researchers from the beginning allowed me to understand the project goals and user needs deeply. This collaboration was crucial in identifying pain points and areas for improvement in the user journey.

  • Measure Success: I wish we had more measures! By tracking metrics such as user engagement, accessibility scores, and user satisfaction, we could have quantified the impact of our design recommendations better.

  • Continuous Learning: Working on a project of this scale with a large organization like Kroger provided invaluable learning opportunities. From navigating complex stakeholder relationships to understanding the intricacies of a mobile e-commerce platform, this experience has deepened my knowledge and prepared me for future challenges in the UX design field.
